A Step-by-Step Guide on How to Integrate Tidio with WhatsApp for Seamless Communication

Businesses can now handle WhatsApp messages right from the Tidio panel, offering individualized and effective service, thanks to the interface between Tidio and WhatsApp. This connection will improve client communication and help you to optimize your customer care procedures.

Having access to Business Manager on Facebook

Every company must have access to Facebook Business Manager in order to link with WhatsApp. You will not be able to integrate with WhatsApp if you do not have access to it.

You are able to make a new account if you do not already have a Facebook Business Manager. But be aware that within the first 24 hours, there may be certain use limitations.

WhatsApp phone number

The phone number has to be a working number that satisfies the following requirements:

You are the owner of the phone number and it is registered in your company’s name. Using your own phone number is not appropriate.
Both phone calls and SMS can be received at the given number.
Before connecting Tidio with WhatsApp, you will need to remove your number from the account that is now being used and uninstall WhatsApp Messenger from your phone device if it is being used inside the app.

Business details and legal address

The following details are necessary for Tidio and WhatsApp integration:

  • Name of your business, which will appear to every visitor you interact with.
  • Legal business name.
  • The official address of your company.

Navigate to the Settings > WhatsApp area on your Tidio panel to start the integration process. Next, to initiate the integration, click the Integrate WhatsApp button.

A window outlining all the prerequisites you must fulfill in order to link Tidio with WhatsApp will appear. Click the blue Continue button to process.

We will go over each criterion in great detail. Click the Next Tip button to proceed.

The following stage will display a Facebook Log-In window. Please sign in to the Facebook account linked with your Meta Business Account.

Choose the Meta Business Account with which you want your integration to be associated (or establish one if you don’t already have one).

Make a new Whatsapp Business account (or use an existing one).

For verification, enter the phone number you intend to use as your Whatsapp Phone Number. Please confirm that the phone number meets all of the specifications. After receiving your verification code, enter it into the Facebook integration window.

When the integration is complete, you will be returned to your Tidio panel, where you will be able to view all of the data related to your integration.

Bots for WhatsApp:

You can use WhatsApp integration to improve the efficiency of your customer support. This integration enables chatbots, which bring an extra layer of automation to your interactions and allow you to use some of the triggers for a more simplified customer care experience.

Available triggers for creating bots for WhatsApp:

  • A visitor says.
  • During the conversation, the operator does not respond.
  • The chatbot gets started by the operator.

Can I answer WhatsApp calls?
Unfortunately, audio/video calls/WhatsApp statuses/reactions/Group messaging are not currently supported by the WhatsApp API. As a result, we will be unable to incorporate these features into Tidio. Once these features are available, we will do our best to integrate them into Tidio and improve your overall experience.
